Questions before you book.
Do guests need a Florida fishing license?
Yes. Guests currently need their own Florida fishing license. Use the official Go Outdoors Florida / FWC license link before your trip.
Is bowfishing only at night?
Yes. Bowfishing trips are nighttime trips. Native Roots also offers daytime rod-and-reel exotic fishing and bass fishing.
Is there an age requirement?
Bowfishing is generally for guests 12 years old and up. Younger guests may be considered if they already have archery experience.
How shallow is the water?
Most bowfishing is in shallow water, usually under 5 feet, where the boat lights make fish easier to spot.
What is included?
Bows, arrows, equipment, custom boat lights, life vests, safety gear, and water are included. Fish cleaning and disposal are available if guests want to keep fish. Bring your own cooler if keeping fish.
Can Native Roots accommodate accessibility needs?
Contact Native Roots before booking to discuss boarding and accessibility needs. Gigging may be available for guests who cannot comfortably pull a bow.
